nursing clinical reflection

Description:

Today was our fourth week of clinical in Neurosurgery ward in HMC. We met with our preceptor and also with the head nurse of the ward. The preceptor asked us about our research project progress, so we told him that we had read a lot of articles and also wrote introductions of different articles. After some discussion with the preceptor, I than went to chambers and did some work there also as reading the post operating nursing checklist and placing IV canula etc. After that, the head nurse of the ward collected all of us and thought us about different instrument used in the ward.

Feelings:

I was happy because when the preceptor asked us about our research project, I was able to answer his questions. And that was because I had read about our project a lot.

Evaluation:

The good thing was that the head nurse of the ward thought us about different instrument which were used in the ward. Some of them were totally new for us so we learnt a lot from that.

See Also the Concept Integrated Map (CIM).

Analysis:

I think we should learn extra things also beside our research project just like today which the head nurse had thought us. That’s how we will be able to use that knowledge somewhere in our practical life,

Conclusion:

Beside our research project, we had learnt a lot of extra things also which will be useful for us in our clinical work.

Action Plan:

This week we learnt about different instrument and read different articles about our research project. So, next time we will do more about our research project.
